updates on classes cancelled due to weather conditions.
BATD Dance Exams
An examiner from Scotland
will be visiting the studio on behalf of the British Association of Teachers
of Dancing (BATD) in April to examine our students. We encourage the dancers
to take annual tests to ensure you that they are receiving proper
instruction and give them a memento of their years of training.
They will examined on their level of step dancing, you do not have to enter
room by yourself, usually they take 3-4 at a time from the same class.
Everyone passes and will receive a certificate and medal and
comments. There is a fee to
take this exam, I will do up a separate exam price sheet and times to follow
for everyone that is taking part.
Costumes & Costs
All costumes are selected by
"The Studio"
and are based on choreography, function, age appropriateness and price. As a
general rule,
a
fundraiser is done to raise money for costumes for the studio,
and the costumes will remain as part of the studio. When
costumes are signed out for recitals/performances, etc, you are responsible
for bringing them back to the following class.
